Overview:

Aion's Templar is the "tank" class. They focus on mitigating damage and enduring a fight rather than quickly dispatching their opponents.

Weapons:

There are essentially two different weapon combinations for the Templar:

Sword/Shield & Mace/Shield

Sword/shield yields a higher crit rate than the Mace/Sheild combo, while the Mace/Shield will have slightly better white damage.

Two-Handed Sword

Aion's Templar also has the ability to use a two-handed sword. The obvious sacrafice here is that you'll lose mitigation while increasing your damage.

Armor:

Templars wear plate armor, and more often than not are wearing a shield to reduce damage.
