Aion: The Tower of Eternity features a two-tiered class system. The player first choose their starting class, which are either: warrior, scout, mage, or priest. The first 10 levels of your adventuring experience are spent as these general classes. At level 9, a question chain will open up, which at the end, gives you the option to pick your specialization. Each base class has two specializations. Once you pick your specialization, and confirm it, you cannot change, so be sure to pick wisely.

Warrior:

The warrior class are the front line fighters. They wear the heaviest armor, and use hulking weapons to annihilate their foes. They crush their foes through brute force, relying on strength and fortitude. Once a Warrior has achieved sufficient skill they can ascend into either a Gladiator or Templar.

Scout:

Guile, trickery, and masterful tactics are what make scouts so deadly. They rely on their agility and the element of surprise to defeat their enemies. There are two paths that open up to the Scout, which are Assassin and Ranger.

Mage:

Mages weild terrible power that they use to desemate their foes. Controlling the winds of magic enables them to deal incredile damage to all those who oppose them. While they control this devestating power, they are physically weak, and need to learn when to fight and when to flee. The Mage can choose to become either a Wizard or a Summoner.

Priest:

Priests are the foundation of every army. They give strength to their fallen comrades, enabling them to fight on. They are perhaps the one class that effects the tide of battle the most. They have two career paths open to them: the Cleric and the Chanter.
